Romania’s glamping

Sometimes we want to be right there, on the beach, where the waves break or at the foot of the mountain and benefit from all the facilities of a hotel. Recently, a new concept appeared in Romania that combines the two: glamping. Accommodation in tents arranged as a 4 * or 5 * hotel in places where a hotel could not be built.

In this article we have chosen some such places that you can visit this summer.

Sunrise Glamping Retreat, Fagaras Massif (Arges County)

Located at the foot of the Fagaras massif, Sunrise Glamping Retreat is located in Bradulet, Arges County. All tents are equipped with beds for 1 person or 2 people, armchairs and private bathroom. In the complex you will find a bar, a sauna, a children’s playground, a barbecue area and a restaurant. In the complex and in the tents the access to WI-FI is free. Parking is free.

Dragonfly Garden, Brasov

DragonFly Garden Urban Glamping is located 3 km from the center of Brasov. The only urban glamping in the country awaits you in the city below Tampa. Heated tents equipped with beds for 1-2 people, table and chairs. A bathroom and a kitchen are arranged outside, for common use. The complex is located at 3.5 Piata Sfatului. Parking is free.

Seagloo Glamping, Costinesti (Adults Only)

In Costinesti, a glamping for adults only spread its sails. The tents are positioned overlooking the garden or the pool, shelter a bed for 1-2 people and offer a private bathroom. All tents also have a small patio, perfect for relaxing summer mornings. The outdoor pool is equipped with sunbeds and umbrellas. Parking is free. The complex is located 1 km from the beach and 500 m from the amusement park in Costinesti.

Wegloo, Azuga

Surrounded by the forests of the Bucegi Mountains, Wegloo aims to offer you a fairytale experience. As in the case of the other glampings, these igloos are equipped with beds for 1-2 people and provide a private bathroom. In addition, it offers you views of the wild forest, in complete safety. The hosts assure us that the bears are not welcome. Parking is free.

Green Camp – Adventure Glamping, Vadu Oii

Located 30 km from Gura Siriului, between Brasov and Buzau, Green Camp invites you to adventure weekends. The tents arranged with terraces, located in the general garden surrounded by the forest near Siriu Lake, invite you to an authentic glamping experience. The hosts also provide a restaurant, a bar and a hammock area only good for long hours of laziness. For those who want more adventure are organized rafting tours on the river Buzau, kayaking on Lake Siriu, mountain hiking, climbing on Via-Ferrata or zip line.

Ursa Mica Glamping Resort, Ciocanu (jud. Arges)

Located 50 km from Predeal, at 1200 m altitude, Ursa Mica Glamping Resort is named as the first glamping in Romania, being opened in 2016. Guests of the resort can enjoy sauna, jacuzzi and hot tubs in the SPA area. Together with experienced mountain guides, excursions are organized in the Piatra Craiului Mountains or the Bucegi Mountains, located in the vicinity of glamping. A restaurant and a bar are available for tourists. Parking and WI-FI are free.

Zaga Zaga Complex, Doaga (Vrancea County)

Also known as the Siret Delta, the Zaga Zaga Complex awaits you with bungalows, houseboats and a glamping area. In the complex you will also find a cherhana that serves fish raised in its own trout farm, a saltwater pool, a farm for animals (the favorite attraction of the little ones) and an Adventure Park. In the complex are arranged places for practicing sport fishing (catch & release), tennis courts and boats and pedal boats are available for walks on the lake.
